Before anyone drives out
How pricing works
Pool plumbing prices move on a few things. Here is what, and when you will know the number.
What decides the price
A pad repair is priced on the part, the access and what has to be opened.
Which part failed, and whether it has to be ordered
Whether the deck or slab has to be opened to reach a line
Pipe size and material
Tight access: block walls, gates, narrow side yards
Whether the job needs a permit
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
The written price lists labor, parts and any permit. We clean up after our own work.
Not included: patching pavers, stucco or plaster we open to reach a line
Not included: electrical hookups, done by a licensed electrician
Not included: pool chemicals
What happens at the visit
A technician reads the pad, tests the lines and tells you what they found. The visit fee covers the trip and the diagnosis, and it is credited to the repair if you approve it that day.
After hours
We don't take calls at night, so there is no after-hours rate. Text any time; we read texts when the office opens at 6 a.m. If water is running that you can't stop, shut off the pump at the breaker and the house main first.
When you get the number
Before work starts, in writing, by text. A small repair gets a flat price once we have seen the problem. A bigger job gets a written estimate with a range and what would change it. Nothing starts without your yes.
Parts and who buys them
We buy and list each part on the estimate. If you already bought a pump or heater, we will plumb it in, and say before we start if it looks wrong for your pad.
Short answers about money
Do you charge for the visit?
There is a visit fee that covers the trip and the diagnosis. It is credited to the repair if you approve the work that day.
Can I supply my own pump or heater?
Yes. We plumb it in, and tell you before we start if it looks wrong for the pad.
Will the price change once you start?
Not without asking. If we open the ground and find more, we stop, show you and write a new price for your yes.
